~* An Australian Outback *~ (4th June 2007 || 5th Day)
|
|
it's the final series of our Australian Outback..this time we spent our whole morning at the beach..thanx to our coaster pick-up at 11..so we enjoy the feeling of being at the surfers paradise without being a surfer..and i fell in love with their sand and their sky..so so lovely..the fine sand and blue sky..it's really nothing like we have at home..while the boys are enjoying their football session, i try to get the opportunity to take picture with my husband as today was our 1st year anniversary ..so is my brother's and SIL and also my eldest nephew's 16th birthday..
then we went to the factory outlet @ harbour town..lotsa branded names there..but not so much interesting things to buy..but me and kirin enjoy the calypso ice-cream by Walls very much..yummmy!
near dawn we went to Kangaroo Point to view the Brisbane city centre before the working hours ended at 6..after 6 the roads in the city centre was jammed like hell..so we had to change our dinner venue to somewhere safer..which is the South Bank Park..there's a Kebab's at the foodcourt..
then we went to a memorial of someone where he and his team made a trans-atlantic flight from america to brisbane..all their journals was displayed there..how magnificent!
finally at 11.58 p.m (local time) we made our final bow to the land of down under..so long Brisbane!! welcome back to real working life!

~* An Australian Outback *~ (3rd June 2007 || 4th day)
|
|
It’s the last day of our marathon to the Gold Coast’s Parks..so the last but not least park was the Warner Bros. Movie World..as we arrived there..there was a looooong line at the entrance gate..are we that late?? As I asked around..there’s a Shrek the 3rd movie premiere..so its congested all the way from the ticket counter to the entrance gate..anyways..as we entered the park lotsa characters from the warner bros movies waited to greet the park visitrs..so we take the chance of taking photo with them..such as..the princesses from Shrek..the police cadets from Police Academy..
Then we just walk around the parks as we waited for the rids and shows starts.. theres police academy stunt show..scooby doo show..the hi5 kids street dance..and lots more..we even get the chance to take photo’s with more characters..
The final even of the day was the street parade.. I love seeing all the characters walk passed me..it’s like I’m still a kid! Heee..
At night we made our final shopping spree at the surfers drive before our departure the next day.. not that much to buy..
“I DON’T WANT TO GO BACK!”

~* An Australian Outback *~ (2nd June 2007 || 3rd day)
|
|
so..it's the second day..today we went to Sea World..it's nearby our apartment..we arrived there early..its quite a wait to enter the park..1st of all we plan what are we going to do the whole day at seaworld..then we made our way to the dolphin cove to catch the 1st show..along the way we stopped at some of the palces which include the shark bay..polar bear house and even sea lion..
the dolphin show was so much interesting that i became to wonder how could these dolphins understand what are their trainers instructions..i'm so amazed..it's such an amazing show..
after that we went to the 4D theatre..it's an experience of it's own..you have to experience it youself to know..i guess there's a 4D theatre somewhere here in Malaysia..
then we went to all the rides..the bermuda triangle..the skyways..the monorail..to name a few..nice place..enjoyed myself there..wish we had more time..
after dark..we began shopping for souvenirs..but it's quite crowded today coz it's weekend nite..lots of drunken people ..and some puke here and there on the street . .SCARRYYYY...it's quite a relieved that back home we don't have this.. as the saying goes..
"It's raining rocks in our country, in other countries it's raining gold, it's better in our own country"
but it's nice to see other places..

~* An Australian Outback *~ (1st June 2007 || 2nd day)
|
|
I woke-up to an unfamiliar place.. then it all came back to me..I’m in Gold Coast, Australia!! Woohooo!!. .rushing to shower as we have a full day ahead.. breakfast at my father’s apartment at the 40th floor..the view was superbly breathtaking..with the beach at one side and magnificent buildings at the other..we had a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, freshly crushed pepper and bread..and drain it down with glasses of OJ or AJ or milk..then we head out for what’s waiting for us out there at Paradise Country Aussie Farm Tour..
There we met sleepy Koala’s, hungry Garoo’s, bushy Sheep’s and horsies and their ever-so-cheerful staff..it was and interesting day as we don’t see most of these animal back home.. Libby (our guide for the day) showed a whipping demo to cut a tree stem into pieces from the hand of his collegue, Steve.. no thanx to my loud mouth..i’ve been forced to volunteer in the 2nd demo where the cut tree stem was placed in my mouth and Libby will cut that piece in my mouth using her whip..and my eyes and nose are closed for protection!! how scary was that??!! VERRRYYY… ahahahaha..but I know it must be some kind of a trick..it sure was (as I see the demo replay from the video camera)..but I wont tell..cause it’s secret…
Then we had our lunch at their halal certified restaurant..cool aight?? The food was super delicious..and the ambience was great too..with the country music sang by a talented singer..
Followed by the Billy Tea time where Libby showed how to make tea and bread COWBOY style!! Yeeehaaaaaaw!! Plain tea and nice bread..i love..but i think the husband hates!! Its time to see the sheep shearing..eheheheh..the sheeps was like..cutenest!! by that time we’re too tired and just dragging ourselves until the entire show to end..
Back at the apartment, we went out to see the whole surfers drive and the weekend night market..it was like our night market here but they only sell homemade things..nice!! but too expensive and too hassle to be brought home..and it was the end of the day…
WE ARE SPENT

~* An Australian Outback *~ (31st May 2007 || 1st Day)
|
|
We missed last year’s annual holiday trip because of my wedding (ngee… )..however we make-up for it this year..it has been planned earlier than early…been really excited to go down under!
Then the day came..me & the sister woke-up as early as 3.30 a.m (we slept at 1.30 the night before..mind you!)..to prepare breakfast for the kids..at 5 a.m, 2 pregio’s arrived to pick us up for the flight (can you guys guess what time is our flight?!..its 10 a.m!!) how paranoid are we?
We didn’t manage to get a grouping sit in the plane..so we have to be separated in smaller groups..ouhh..we are a group of 12 members.. the plane took-off at 10 a.m from KLIA heading towards Sydney,Aussie..while waiting for the eight hours ends..me and the hubs played a couple of in-flight games..watch movies..and dozed-off..
6 p.m Malaysia time (its 8 p.m local time).. we arrived at Sydney International Airport for transit before heading for Brisbane, Queensland..at the Sydney Airport we have to go through a security check..a tight security check I can say..so guys..no fresh foods to Aussie huh??!! however you can still press your luck by declaring all the food that you carry.. and no LAGs on your hand carry!
At 10.45 p.m local time, we finally arrived at Brisbane International Airport (do they have other names for this airport??!!.. I don’t know..) and our loyal driver, Paul waited for us as we go through another security check by the Brisbane Immigrations..luckily all the dried noodle and some pastes were given a pass sign..ehehehe..if not..there goes our entire meal..
Then we head for the motorway heading for Gold Coast..however the motorway was closed due to an incident (as told by the police officer on duty)..the clever Paul drove us using an alternative route through the suburbs..but i couldn’t handle the long journey..and i dozed-off (again!!)…as I opened my eyes..i saw..
“BREAKFREE PENINSULA APARTMENTS”
..we’re here!!!

a highly professional (theorethically!) young football team entered a futsal match.. named Niambe Kacapulele (in short The Blues..by their jersey colour).. it is now their professional (yeah right!) abilities are tested practically..
we, the supporters root for #7, #11, #13..however, the most supports was given to #11 as he was the smallest, shortest and i think the youngest among all the participants.. (Go Afnan!!).. i'm not sure about the results..but i'm pretty sure they have lotsa fun and are planning for future participation in other football match.. keep on practising boys!
